A weissenborn constructed from the highly sought-after Koa tonewood, used for its highly figured aesthetic and naturally warm tone. This instrument is designed to develop alongside the player, with the dense Koa gradually opening up to reveal an expansive midrange and an increasingly rich, more resonant tone. Stylistically, this Weissenborn pays homage to the origins of Koa wood, with a traditional Hawaiian style rosette and rope bindings. Available in both laminate and solid top models, the Koa Edition Weissenborns are beautifully crafted with a hard-wearing ebony fretboard for increased sustain, and a genuine bone nut and saddle for undeniable tone.
