``Twisted Wood Guitars was created in 2011- born from the idea that musicians of all calibers deserve the opportunity to play exceptional instruments.``

 [/vc_column][vc_column width=”1/2″][vc_custom_heading text=”About Us” font_container=”tag:h1|font_size:60|text_align:left” use_theme_fonts=”yes” css=”.vc_custom_1641938493880{margin-top: 0px !important;}”][vc_row_inner][vc_column_inner width=”1/4″][vc_separator color=”orange” align=”align_left” border_width=”2″ el_width=”80″][/vc_column_inner][vc_column_inner width=”3/4″][vc_column_text]

Established in 2011, Twisted Wood Guitars has specialized in the creation of musical instruments for more than a decade. As Canada’s most trusted name in both ukuleles and weissenborns – we design and produce instruments that are played all over the world, by musicians in every genre.

Our approach is entirely focussed around the experience of the player, and we rigorously test and inspect every single one of our instruments to ensure that they are reliable and performance-ready from the very first chord.

About the Owner:

As a left-handed musician, Tom Wolansky often found it challenging to find instruments that truly resonated with him. In his search for the ideal playing experience, He would often find himself returning to an ever-expanding workshop- adjusting, converting, and building instruments to be a better representation of what he was looking for.

Tom continued to develop his talent for designing and building instruments, and resolved to make his creations available to musicians all over the world. Inspired by the landscapes of his surroundings in Alberta, he founded Twisted Wood Guitars- and set about manufacturing instruments that were as rugged, versatile and aesthetically diverse as the province in which he grew up.

Twisted Wood Guitars has continued to produce instruments with a single idealistic goal- To provide high-quality products that would inspire people to learn, perform, and share music.

Manufacturing Process:

All of our instruments are designed, tested and inspected in Canada by our experienced builders. The majority of our models are constructed to our exact specifications in China.

Once they’ve been built, every single instrument is sent back to our Canadian workshop where they undergo a rigorous inspection and testing process. Our team of technicians personally inspect every instrument, and ensure each and every one is reliable and performance-ready. You can learn more about our proprietary 5-Step Inspection Process HERE.

Sustainability:

Because each one of our creations has taken inspiration from nature, we believe that it is our responsibility to do whatever we can to preserve our planet. We are committed to offsetting our carbon footprint, sourcing sustainable materials, and supporting reforestation efforts to help maintain wildlife habitats and fight climate change.

Going Forward:

We would like to extend our utmost thanks to all of our customers- and to all the musicians that have played our instruments over the last 10 years. Without your continued support, Twisted Wood could not have grown into the company that we are today. Our greatest joy has been the ability to meet, learn from, and support so many players of Twisted Wood instruments. Going forward, we will continue to provide exciting and inventive instruments to customers and retailers in Canada, the United States, and across the globe.
